Muktinath Pilgrimage Tour is a religious tour. Where there is a religion, there is a history. Undoubtedly, Muktinath is one of the gateways to one of the famous religious places of the Hindus. In the eyes of the Hindus, and from the perspective of the Hindus, Muktinath is worth exploring. Muktinath a religious tour, it won’t be wrong at all. Just like the Hindus, the Buddhists hold the Muktinath in a high esteem. Altitude wise Muktinath is located at 3710 m. and distance wise it is 48 km away from north east of Jomsom. Muktinath Temple has a pagoda style design, dedicated to Lord Bishnu, in a picturesque location. When you see 108 waterspouts behind this beautiful temple, in the shape of cow headed, you have a feeling that you have self-imposed yourself in a mythological place.

Muktinath draws a lot of visitors during the festival season of Janaipurnima. Muktinath can be accessed by a flight from Pokhara to Jomsom and then drive to Muktinath via trekking or Jeep/Bus form Pokhara or Beni. Muktinath is approx. 160km from Pokhara and 360km from Kathmandu. Muktinath temple tour creates a buzz that this world is “Maya” (an illusion). Muktinath is one of the 24 Tantric places in the Tibetan Buddhist faith. According to tradition, Guru Rinpoche, who founded the Tibetan faith, stopped here to worship the Dakinis or sky dancing goddesses, on his way to Tibet. For the Hindus, the importance of the shrine is a bit different. Hindu Vashanavites consider the Muktinath shrine to be one of the eight most sacred shrines on earth. They consider the Muktinath to be one of the 108 holy places where a person should worship lord Vishnu. The desert beauty of Mustang will steal your heart, and it is mesmerizing.

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival – Kathmandu

Upon arrival in Kathmandu Airport, you will be greeted and assistance by our Representative. After completing your custom formalities, transfer to Hotel for check-in. Late afternoon, visit Boudhanath Stupa, Evening, attend Aarati at Pashupatinath Temple. Drive back to Hotel. Overnight in Kathmandu Hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu - Drive to Pokhara

After breakfast, drive to Pokhara (about 210 km, 6/7 hrs). En-route visit Manakamana Temple by Cable Car. After puja / darshan, continue drive to Pokhara. Arrive in Pokhara. Transfer to Hotel. Overnight in Pokhara Hotel.

Day 03: Pokhara – Jomsom (Fly)

After breakfast, fly to Jomsom (about 20 mins). Arrive in Jomsom Airport. Transfer to Hotel. Short walk to Jeep stand (10/15 mins). Drive to Muktinath by Jeep (about 20 km, 1 hr drive). Take off from Jeep and walk up (30/40 mins) to Muktinath Temple. OR You can take pony ride. Arrive in Temple. Muktinath is god of Salvation. It holds great significance for all spiritual people in the south Asian sub continent. Have darshan and worship, walk back to Jeep station and drive back to Jomsom. Overnight in Jomsom Hotel.

Day 04: Jomsom – Pokhara (Fly)

Fly back to Pokhara. Arrive in Pokhara. Transfer to Hotel. Visit, Devis fall, Gupteshwor Cave, Seti River and Boating on Fewa Lake, visit Taal Barahi Temple. Rest of the day is free. Overnight in Pokhara Hotel.

Day 05: Pokhara – Kathmandu

Early morning, sunrise and Himalayan view from Sarangkot hill (subject to weather condition). Next, visit Bindabasini Temple. Drive to Hotel for breakfast. After breakfast, drive back to Kathmandu. Upon arrive in Kathmandu; transfer to Hotel for check-in. Overnight in Kathmandu Hotel.

Day 06: Kathmandu - Departure

After breakfast, proceed to visit Jalanarayan Temple (Sleeping Vishnu). Later, on time transfer to International Airport for onward destination.
